Full Spectrum Safety Training

Frequently asked questions

Group sizes, what to provide on the day, certificates, travel and payment. If your question is not here, just call and ask.

Where does the training take place?

At your premises. We come to your workplace, school, nursery, masjid or kitchen, which means nobody loses half a day to travel and the training happens in the room where the risks actually are.

If you would rather not host it, tell us and we will talk through the options.

What do we need to provide?

A room big enough for everyone to get down on the floor and practise, chairs, and a power socket. That is genuinely it.

We bring the manikins, the AED trainers, the dressings and all the consumables. For food safety and fire warden courses we work with your own kitchen, alarm points and escape routes, so it helps if we can have a quick look round first.

How many people can you train at once?

It varies by course, because each one needs a different amount of hands-on time per person. First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work take up to 36. Martyn’s Law takes 24. The other half-day and one-day courses are capped at 12. Paediatric first aid and anaphylaxis depend on the format, so ask us. Each course page lists its own maximum.

If your group is bigger than the cap, we will split it across two sessions rather than squeeze everyone in.

How does the pricing work?

One price covers a group of up to ten learners, then we charge per additional learner above that. So training nine people costs the same as training six — it is usually worth filling the places you are paying for.

Every course page shows the published rate, and the quote form gives you an indicative total as you fill it in. Your written quote is the figure that counts.

We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add. The figure we quote you is the figure you pay.

How long are the certificates valid?

Three years. Certificates are VTQ, nationally recognised, and issued after the course for every learner who passes.

It is worth putting the expiry date in your diary. Get in touch a couple of months before and we can usually work a refresher around your calendar.

How far do you travel?

We deliver training across the UK, and travel is included in the price as standard.

Where a venue is far enough away to need a long journey or an overnight stay, there may be a travel cost on top. If there is, it will be stated in your written quote before you commit to anything — you will never find it added afterwards.

Do you train evenings and weekends?

Often, yes. A lot of our clients are community organisations and shift-based workplaces where a weekday daytime course is the one time nobody can make.

Tell us what actually works for your team and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

How and when do we pay?

We quote first. Nothing is booked and nothing is owed until you confirm you want to go ahead. After that we invoice you, and the invoice sets out the ways to pay.

Unless we have agreed invoice terms in writing, payment is due before the training date. See paying for your training for the detail.

Can you invoice our school, charity or organisation?

Yes. We work with school, charity, masjid and local authority finance processes all the time, and purchase orders are no problem.

Tell us what your finance team needs to see on the invoice — a PO number, a cost centre, a particular billing address — and we will put it on there.

What if we need to cancel or move the date?

Give us at least 14 days’ notice and we will move your booking to another date free of charge, once, as long as we have a date free. We will always try to find you one.

Inside 14 days we cannot. By then your date and your instructor are reserved and we have turned other work away, and at that notice the slot cannot be filled. So our fees are non-refundable, and training on a later date would be a new booking at the full price. We would rather tell you that plainly up front than surprise you with it later.

It is set out in section 6 of our terms and conditions, and we link to them on every quote. If you are an individual booking for yourself rather than for an organisation, you have statutory cancellation rights on top of this.

Are you insured, and can we see your credentials?

Yes, and yes. Ask us and we will send our insurance details and instructor credentials over before you book. Plenty of clients need them for their own files, and we are used to providing them.

We are not sure which course we need. Can you advise?

That is one of the more useful calls you can make. The right course depends on your first aid needs assessment, the risks in your work, who is on site and what your inspectors or insurers expect.

Call 07830 810422 and describe your setting. If the honest answer is the cheaper course, that is what we will tell you.

Still not sure?

Call 07830 810422 or send us the details and we will come back to you.

Ready to get your team trained?

Tell us the course, roughly how many people and where you are. We will come back to you with availability and a firm written quote — no obligation.
