Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website, we collect your name, organisation, role, email address, phone number, the course you are asking about, your preferred date and how fixed it is, the venue town or postcode, how many learners you have, how you heard about us if you tell us, and anything you write in the message box. That is the whole of it — the form sends nothing else, and the site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

If you go on to book training, we also hold the information needed to run the course and issue certificates — typically learner names, and any adjustment a learner has asked us to make. We ask for medical information only where a learner volunteers something that affects how they can take part safely, and we do not keep it after the course.

We also hold the usual business records: quotes, bookings, invoices and payment records.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To answer your enquiry and give you a quote. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services. The tick box on the enquiry form is our record that you were happy for us to reply; it is not the basis we rely on, so ticking it does not sign you up to anything else.

To deliver training you have booked, issue certificates and invoice you. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you.

To keep accounting and training records. Our lawful basis is our legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in being able to evidence what training we delivered and when.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or share them with anyone for marketing purposes. Ever.

Who we share it with

The awarding body that issues your certificates, so that certification can be produced in the learners’ names.

Our suppliers who process data on our behalf under contract: our website host, our email provider, our payment provider and our accountant. They act on our instructions and cannot use your data for their own purposes.

Anyone we are legally required to share it with.

Card payments are handled entirely by our payment provider on their own secure pages. We never see or store your card number.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into bookings: up to 12 months, then deleted.

Booking, training and certification records: six years after the training, so we can confirm what was delivered and reissue a certificate if you need one.

Invoices and accounting records: six years after the end of the relevant financial year, as tax law requires.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies, runs no advertising trackers and uses no third-party analytics. That is why you were not asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. If you follow a link from here to another site, that site’s own privacy notice applies.

Where your data is held

Our suppliers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted where we have no good reason to keep it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
